POSITIVE WAYS TO SUPPORT CHILDREN'S SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Pyramid Model Foundations

The Pyramid Model Foundations Training is an evidence based prevention/intervention framework that prevents challenging behaviors and promotes healthy social and emotional development by supporting positive relationships, creating engaging environments, providing concrete teaching strategies, and if/when needed creating individualized interventions for children. The Pyramid Model Foundations training is designed to provide ECL providers with skills and knowledge to support the needs of young children. The pyramid framework includes four levels of practice to address the needs of all children, including children with persistent challenging behaviors.
This training consists of four 1.5 hour sessions. Both sessions must be completed in order to receive credit. No partial credit will be given.
Session 1: Monday, April 17, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Session 2: Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Session 2: Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Session 4: Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm
This training is required for advancement to Level 2 in Learn & Grow:- Administrators must complete this training as part of achieving the "Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential"
- Lead teachers must complete this training as part of "Level 2: Moving into Higher Quality Training"
