Introduction to the Pyramid Model training is an evidence-based approach designed to empower educators with the skills and knowledge to support relationships, create nurturing environments, and implement effective teacher practices to meet the social-emotional needs of young children. The training will delve into the relationship of the Pyramid Model with prevention science, equity, inclusion, trauma-informed care, anti-bias practice, and the use of data for decision-making. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how the Pyramid Model aligns with these important principles and practices, enabling them to create inclusive and supportive environments for all children.
This training consists of 6 hours training and 1 hour for lunch. The educator must attend the full session to receive credit. No partial credit will be given.
This training is required for advancement to Level 2 and Level 3 in Learn & Grow:
· Administrators must complete this training as part of achieving the Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential · Lead teachers must complete this training as part of Level 2: Moving into Higher Quality Training · Assistant teachers complete this training as part of Level 3: Committing to Higher QualityFor more information about Learn & Grow and the various pathways to complete these training requirements please visit www.aklearnandgrow.org All parts of this training session, when applicable, must be taken together to receive credit for participation.
