When children's behavior drives you mad, what can you do? As an early care and educational professional, you may find that kids can drive you crazy with their agression, disrespect, lying... This class is composed of three sessions. You must take all three sessions to get credit for attendance:
Session 1: April 13, 2021 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Session 2: April 20, 2021 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Session 3: April 27, 2021 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Session 1 will include content on "what do they do?" - What misbehavior looks like at different ages and stages, and how much is normal development
Session 2 will discuss misbehavior as a "symptom" of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Missed Opportunities for Development (MODs) and the long term consequences of ACEs and MODs
Session 3 will introduce "developmental do-overs" for teachers and strategies for supporting children's emotional and social development
Effective April 1, 2021, educators must be present and visible on video camera for the entire class time.
