Exposing children to different foods found all over the world allows children to appreciate the unique features of different cultures.

In this training, participants will discuss: different cultural food activities, the role of the teacher, students and parents participation in the food activity, and how to encourage children to try out new flavors. Participants can watch how a Vietnamese Spring Roll is made or if you choose, buy the ingredients and make it along with the trainer!

FOOD TIME IS FUN TIME!

This is a fun hands-on interactive training. Participants can buy the ingredients of Vietnamese Spring Rolls and follow along with the procedure via live Zoom cooking demonstration!

OPTIONAL: If you wish to participate please have ready for the training the following food items:

    Spring Roll Rice paper - Can be found find at any grocery store in Asian food section (refer to process on the package)

    Rice stick noodles (refer to process on the package)

    Shrimp or shredded chicken if there are any shrimp allergies

    Carrots

    Cucumber

    Butter lettuce

    Mint

    Hoisan sauce
    Water

Note: we will not use peanut sauce due to potential allergic reaction for children
