Planning a Safe, Healthy, Learning Environment

Participants will gain an understanding about how to keep children safe through supervision, types of materials and emergency procedures.  Preventing communicable diseases and illness will be accomplished through proper hand washing, proper diapering/toileting procedures, providing for rest, and providing healthy food that meets children’s developmental needs. Children's learning will be promoted through environments that provide well-arranged space, quality materials, and an appropriate schedule.
