Unpacking Social Emotional Toolkit

During the early years, children are developing rapidly, and a vital component of their development is the social-emotional domain. This Quality Initiative is an opportunity for early childhood programs and educators to learn more about how to support social-emotional development in their classrooms.

Four (4), 1 hour sessions. All sessions must be attended in full, no partial credit.

Session 1: Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Session 2: Thursday, November 3, 2022, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Session 3: Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Session 4: Thursday, November 10, 2022, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Application open through Oct 31, 2022, while funds are available.

As a participant, you will:

· Receive an introduction to the Pyramid Model

· Participate in a cohort to unpack the Pyramid and Social-Emotional Toolkit

· Receive a Social-Emotional Toolkit specific to your classroom’s age group (preschool or Infant/Toddler)


· Current/active Alaska SEED Registry

· Employed at a licensed child care program in Alaska as a teacher in an infant, toddler, or preschool classroom

· Not Eligible: Educators employed by a program that has/is attending the Learn & Grow Working on Level 3 Cohort in 2021-2023


· Attend the Introduction to the Pyramid Model or have attended it in the past *provide proof of attendance

· Attend Unpacking the Pyramid and Social-Emotional Toolkit cohort on November 7-10 from 6:30-7:30 pm (4 hours total)

· Fill out the QI Evaluation

· Submit a completed IRS Form W9 with application
