The Principles of Adult Learning (PAL) course is aimed at trainers who support the professional growth of other early educators and who wish to be recognized as a Alaska SEED-approved trainer. Participants must be at least a SEED Level 6 to qualify as a provisional trainer and take this course.
This content of this course includes:· Principles of adult learning and the theories which guide adult education practices · How the way an individual processes information influences learning · A review of instructional design, to include the development of learning objectives · Discussion on the types of assessment tools and the benefits of using these · Tips for being prepared for training · Review on various trainer styles and strategies for public speaking which reduce anxiety
You must attend all three sessions, there will be no partial credit given:
Session 1: June 8, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Session 2: June 15, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Session 3: June 22, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Effective April 1, 2021, educators must be present and visible on video camera for the entire class time.
